What if time were actually fixed, everything that has ever happened, will every happen, has already happened and we are just “experiencing” it? Each moment is nothing more than the intersection of a giant matrix. I know but stay with me on this.
Maybe I should start at the beginning, or middle, it doesn’t really matter because it has all already happened. We can take any point on this matrix, lets say we choose now. Okay this is were it starts to get complicated, right now there are probably many possible directions you could follow. You could continue to read this blog for instance, you could let your mind wander, you could get a phone call and never get back to this, etc., etc., etc. So, for those of you who are still reading than you continued on in this direction. If, however, you chose to go a different way you would not know the rest of how this theory developers because you vectored off in a different direction.
So what I’m getting at is this. Perhaps every point in time has an infinite number of possible directions (or vectors) we could travel and each vector has its own infinite number of vectors. If this is the case than everything in time could be foreseen IF one were to follow all the vectors to the predicted outcome (assuming, that is, that we possessed the knowledge to pear across these vector walls).
Lets further say that each of these vectors actually has a different time reference. In fact, we know that time is not a constant at all. Time, we know, is inversely proportional to the speed of travel through space. The faster we travel the slower time passes. We also know that time does not travel in a straight line. Gravity can bend or warp time as it can light. So now we look back at this infinite matrix of infinite vectors, toss in distortion from changes in speed through space and effects of gravity and these apparent straight vectors could actually intersect back upon themselves, perhaps even before the start of the vector. What would be the apparent effect? We might have the feeling that we’ve already experienced something we’ve never experienced before. Perhaps these vectors intersect with other vectors and we just don’t know how to see them. This could possibly explain how we sometimes see events in the future, or perhaps events from the past.
What if, for instance, certain events cause holes in these vectors so that in certain places we can pear into another vector. What we may see is events from the past replaying over and over or what many people describe as ghost sightings.
This theory addresses a lot of unexplained phenomenon. Okay, I know, you think I’m crazy. That’s fine, I’ll just go back to the Mothership and wait for this to all sink in. Give it some though.
